New Features for 2018
O’Connor’s Texas Oil & Gas – Statutes & Regulations 2018 has been updated with all the 2017 legislative changes, plus legislative summaries organized by subject matter and a quick-reference chart identifying all the amended and enacted sections. Some of the notable legislative changes include:
- Policy changes to encourage alternative dispute resolution for internal and external disputes under the Railroad Commission’s jurisdiction.
- Development and publication of an oil and gas monitoring and enforcement strategic plan to make the best use of limited regulatory resources.
- Changes to allow payments to be withheld from the proceeds of the sale of oil and gas when there is a claim for child support asserted against the proceeds.
This year’s edition also includes updated Texas Administrative Code regulations with underlining to clearly identify language added by the Railroad Commission.
